Knee Surgery in Latin America under $20,000

As a follow-up to my post, Top 10 Hospitals for Knee Surgery Under $50,000, here is a graphic I submitted recently to a workers’ comp carrier in Florida I am interested in exploring opportunities with.

The hospitals and costs were culled from the Archimedicx website I linked to in the previous post.

Western Hemisphere Hospitals Knee Surgery under $20,000

I am sure there are many more, and there are more that are between $20,000 and $50,000 that were not mentioned in the first article by Archimedicx.

Even if these figures are not completely accurate, why take the chance that they are not at least representative of the cost difference between what is charged by hospitals in the US. And when you add in all the additional fees one finds on a US hospital, these prices are practically a bargain.

But go on and pay through the nose. Or is that the knee? To quote Forrest Gump, “stupid is as stupid does”.

    Richard:
I believe that in reality everyone is scared to the point of no decision or deciding not to include, offer or participate in international medical travel on a grand scale. We will have a few brave souls that will embrace medical travel. Everyone is afraid of the prospect of a major complication occurring during or shortly after treatment. “They don’t know what the don’t know”, is applicable here in a major way. The notion of this happening for an employer is so worrisome that they are afraid to implement and USE an international medical travel benefit.
We of course offer and provide all sorts of risk mitigation strategies that ACTUALLY WORK for international medical travel, be that for an employer, facilitator/case manager, an aggregator such as Archimedicx, or the actual medical traveller, in fact we have been doing it better and longer than anyone else, on a global basis!

    Benjamin,

If you read my post, Paralysis by Analysis, you will see I agree with you.

I wish we could have done something together, and may still do so in the future, and I believe that fear will lose and people will come around.
